Chalk Emulsion one day course

Next Class: Wednesday 30th April, 2014, at our Waterloo store

This hands-on one day course covers the basic techniques involved in painting furniture using Porter's Chalk Emulsion. Chalk Emulsion is a decorative matt paint with a chalky, soft appearance specifically developed for application to furniture, picture and mirror frames and other flea market finds. Learn how to select colour, and how to apply the paint and create distressed and elegant effects, and how to finish your piece with our range of waxes. The techniques covered include Antiquing, Distressing, and French Provincial. Each student will be required to bring one piece of furniture, which may be previously painted or varnished or in the natural form of raw timber. (The piece of furniture must not be waxed). Only 6 students to a class, so you get loads of individual attention.
