Barefoot Luxury
For the Mondrian, Burleigh Heads, the materials and the inspiration came from a design philosophy of coastal aesthetic, sophistication and texture.
Coastal Aesthetic
The guest rooms and suites, designed by Studio Carter, draw inspiration from the surrounding Burleigh Heads landscape, featuring natural coastal elements.
The walls combine the soft, luxurious texture of Porter's French Wash with bolder design choices, creating an "easy tactility" throughout the hotel's interior spaces.
Sophistication and Texture
Porter's French Wash was also used throughout the bars and restaurants, designed by Alexander & Co.
All up, there are over 15,000 square metres of French Wash, expertly applied by the team at Total Contract Services.
A Coastal Palette
The overall colour story includes soft tones, complemented by richer hues like burgundies, sage green, rust, tan, and brown, which reflect the Australian landscape.
