A gorgeous piece of Australian history at 130 years old, The Eltham Hotel has been thoughtfully revived by owners, Julia Ashwood (of the renowned travel blog The Vista), Julia's husband Matt Rabbidge & business partner Luke Sullivan, who have recently celebrated their one year anniversary at the hotel.

A Homage to Inspiring Women

The hotel features five accommodation rooms, each room has been uniquely refurbished as an ode to a strong female figure from the region. Julia created room concepts to compliment the story of each of these women, including; a station master, a film star & a botanist. The result is a delightful collection of spaces which both work together and exude individuality.

Colour Statement

Julia worked with Melbourne based speciality applicators Mockturtle Design to create unique colour statements in each room. Their combined vision and talent brought to life by exclusively using Porter’s Paints colour & products to treat the walls.

Authentically Regional

Adding to the character and charm of the rooms are the antique furniture pieces, the majority of which are pre-loved finds from the region, meticulously sourced by Julia herself.
